This is the only story I've written yet that has NO sci-fi or fantasy elements at all. It's just about people, and I had a surprising amount of fun writing it. It's short, too, so it's a good intro if you haven't read any of my other stuff yet.

When a time-capsuled message from a missing man is finally viewed, it sparks an investigation with the whole world watching. The very way that we look at each other is in question, because of this mystery man's message.

The spread of Covid has caused a lot of fear in all of us, but it seems another disease spread through a small town at about the same time. While it was contained and eradicated, it doesn't behave like any other disease ever has.

When a brilliant but isolated programmer meets an intriguing woman, she tells him an incredible story. She couldn't possibly be telling the truth, but she knew things no one else could possibly know! What other secrets could she be hiding?

He is the silent guardian of the city. He is the scourge of all criminal filth that want to hurt its gentle citizens. He will be the Sigil of hope and courage to all who see him. And he's in for a big surprise.

The recent writer's (and now actor's) strike is of particular importance to someone like me, who wants to write stories for a living. Given how little attention it's getting, I figured I'd try to help. This is a fantasy story, for now. Hopefully it doesn't become reality. Enjoy!
